Frequently Asked Questions

What kind of lotion or oil do you use?
  • I typically use either 100% jojoba oil, or a jojoba oil lotion depending on the type of massage or client preference. If you have an allergy or sensitivity to jojoba oil, please let me know and I can easily use a substitute.
How much should I undress for my massage?
  • You can undress as little or as much as you feel comfortable with. I will leave the room to allow you undress to the level of your comfort and get onto the massage table and under the sheets. Only the area being worked on will be undraped from the sheets and the chest and groin will never be undraped.
Should I talk during my massage?
  • The amount of conversation is totally up to you, and what best helps you relax. I will occasionally check in about pressure and comfort, but beyond that I will leave it to you to initiate conversation. That being said, please don't hesitate to speak up if something is sensitive, painful, or even feels like it needs more attention. I can make assessments through my touch and training, but only you know how it feels - you are the authority on your body.
What should I expect to feel after my massage?
  • Hopefully you will feel more relaxed and looser immediately after your massage. Sometimes you might feel a little groggy. Depending on how deep the session went, it is normal to feel a little sore for the next day or two. Drinking plenty of water after your massage can help you feel better, and is a good practice in general.
Do you offer in-home massage?
  • Yes, I occasionally do in-home massage. I charge a little bit more than my normal rates, due to the extra travel and set-up time. Please reach out for more info, or to book.
Do you offer gift certificates?
  • Yes! I can provide you with a physical or digital copy of a gift certificate.
