COVID-19 Updates

*I continue to remain up-to-date with vaccinations and boosters. *
These are my current policies in place to help mitigate the risk of COVID-19 in the studio:
  • I continue to wear a mask during sessions, and strongly urge clients to do so as well.
  • Hand sanitizer and a sink for hand-washing will be available in the studio.
  • Two air purifiers will be running.
  • If weather permits, a window will also be open.
  • All touched surfaces will be wiped down with a CDC certified cleaning agent between clients.
  • The studio will be aired-out between clients.
  • No-consequence cancelling or rescheduling of appointments.

Cancellation and Lateness

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic there is currently no fee for cancelling an appointment. If possible, however, 24 hours notice is greatly appreciated.

If the client is running late for an appointment and is able to inform me that they’re still on the way, please do so. Depending on the schedule for that day I may be able extend the appointment so that the client can receive the full session. However, that is at my discretion, and the client is still responsible for the full service price, even if the time can’t be adjusted.

Payment

I charge what I believe to be the full value of my service, therefore tips are not expected  Payment is due at the time of service. I currently accept cash, checks (made out to NBH Bodywork), Venmo (@nbhbodywork), and CashApp ($nbhbodywork).

Client Confidentiality

All client information – both written and verbal – is confidential. I will not share anything disclosed or discussed during a session, unless required by law.  It is the client’s responsibility to keep me updated with new and ongoing health issues.

Sexual Appropriateness

Massage therapy is therapeutic in nature. All massage services provided by NBH Bodywork are non-sexual. No sexual conversation or behavior will be tolerated by either the massage therapist or the client at any time. Any inappropriate words, jokes, or suggestions by the client will result in the immediate termination of the massage session.

Informed Consent

At the beginning of a client’s first session, I will ask them to fill out an intake form and waiver. Before every session we will discuss a brief treatment plan.

The client may choose to wear whatever level of clothing is comfortable to them. The client will be adequately draped at all times. Only the area of the body that is being worked on will be undraped at any given time.

I welcome feedback during a massage, especially about pressure, sensation, and duration of a technique. At any point throughout the session the client can decline specific massage methods, or stop the massage completely.
